Private Pilot Licence

Airways Aviation delivers International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) approved Private Pilot Licence training for aspiring pilots who want to fly aeroplanes for pleasure. Our PPL is also suitable for people looking to begin pilot training with the basics and work toward their Commercial Pilot Licence or Airline Transport Pilot Licence in a modular way.

Our PPL consists of two distinct components – flight training and theory training. These are taught concurrently so you will master the practical while engaged with the theoretical.

Stage 1

Theory Training

PPL theory training is divided into 9 subjects:

• air law
• aircraft general knowledge
• flight performance and planning
• human performance
• meteorology
• navigation
• operational procedures
• principles of flight
• communications

An option of distance learning with brush up phases are also offered as an alternative.

Stage 2

Flight Training

• 45 hours of flight time

DURATION

13 weeks full time

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 

• be at least 17 years old
• have a high school diploma or equivalent
• be able to demonstrate English language proficiency
• have a passion for flying
