PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE (H) FAA

The FAA Helicopter Private Pilot Certificate permits an individual to fly a helicopter for personal use throughout the USA. This can be for the fun or flying or for a practical travel solution. Qualified pilots are able to hire our own helicopters and also continue training to commercial qualifications.

On completion of the course a Private Pilot Certificate holder will have:

Flown a minimum of 40 hours including:
-10 hours solo flight including a 100 nm cross country flight

-3 hours night training

-Obtained a at least a Third Class Medical Certificate from an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME)
-Obtained a Student Pilot Certificate to be able to solo
-Received ground knowledge training or accomplished appropriate home study course
-Passed one knowledge exam (min 70% to pass)
-Passed a Practical Test conducted by an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE)
Training:

Knowledge training will be conducted by an FAA authorized instructor or through an appropriate home study course with review by instructor
Flight Training will be conducted in the Guimbal Cabri G2, based at our Tampa, Florida, USA Base by an FAA authorized instructor
Pre-Course Requirements:

Be at least 16 years of age by first solo, 17 years of age to take practical exam
Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
