COURSE CONTENT
Lidar (a portmanteau of the words “light” and “radar”), is a surveying method that measures distance to a target by illuminating that target with a pulsed laser light, and measuring the reflected pulses with a sensor.  Differences in laser return times and wavelengths can then be used to make digital 3D-representations of the target.

When this equipment is based on a helicopter to gain aerial perspectives, the pilot will be asked to fly at specific ground speeds, altitudes, and ground courses with a small margin of error.

Vantage Aviation can train the applicant to fly to accurate industry standard that will make the pilot able to effectively, efficiently, and safely perform the duties of a pilot flying with Lidar and all sensors available to both Helicopters and Fixed Wing.

Vantage can also provide these roles in the UK and USA in all aircraft detailed.
